The first comp of the year and a pretty good turn out with 5 adults and 3 juniors weighing in their catches in what can sometimes be a quiet comp due to people being away on holidays.
In the Deep Sea section we had Grant Keene take the win with a 55kg Marlin, which was also the biggest fish weighed in for the weekend – by far!
The Booker Boys had a clean sweep win for both father and son in their respective categories. Young Marc had a cracker flathead that went 61cms and weighed 1.275kgs – top catch and that will take some beating this year.
In the Beach & Rock section it was another good win for Rob Mace with 70.5pts and the runner prize went to Randall Pring. The juniors was won by young Wes Pring with a brace of mullet. He also put a mullet on the board at 0.275kg.
