The kids did well in the South Coast Fishing Clubs Association annual Beach Comp on the weekend. They had everything against them with the wind blowing yesterday afternoon and dead low tides for both the afternoon and morning sessions. Our very own superstar fisho Tom Cronin did very well on the mullet and got runner up in the Sub Junior section. Gerringong Junior Noah Micallef also got runner up in his section as well as weighing in the biggest Flathead in the comp. Rob Mace bagged the biggest Salmon for the comp which turned the scales around to 2.4kgs. Our junior team of Tom, Eddie, Marc and Jacob managed to hold onto runner up team – being just beaten by the Berry juniors. Hannah Cronin was also awarded the weigh masters prize for a nice brace of Mullet. Great effort by all that represented our club!
The next SCFCA event is the Deep Sea comp which will be held on the 19th and 20th March with the weigh in at the Lakeview Hotel. Please note that any juniors must be over 12 years of age to fish in this particular event.
